Marymount High School, Los Angeles follows all Los Angeles Department of Public Health (LADPH) mandates (Best Practices to Prevent COVID-19) for smaller events (under 1,000 participants) held on its campus. At this time - and subject to changes by the LADPH - what this means for our conference, MM-MUN 2022, to be held on Sunday, 12 March 2023 are the following:
1. Marymount requires the name, school affiliation and email address of every participant, notably in which committee each student will compete, for COVID-19 contact tracing purposes. This information will be collected no later than two weeks before the conference via a google form.
2. Every individual who will enter Marymount’s campus to participate in MM-MUN 2023 must complete a health screening on the day of the conference before entering the campus. The health screening must be completed the morning of the conference (Sunday, 12 March 2023) and checked during the registration process before the Opening Ceremony.
3. In order to enter Marymount’s campus, every person must show proof of vaccination (fully vaccinated is 14 days after the 2nd shot) or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before the conference. This information will be collected from each person at the registration area during the registration process before the Opening Ceremony.
4. All individuals must be fully masked at all times indoors. This includes - but is not limited to - during committee meetings, in the hallways and bathrooms, and during Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
5. During eating at the morning break and at lunch (food provided by Marymount for both), school groups must sit together and maintain social distancing (while eating) for COVID tracing purposes. Food will either be packaged individually or served to participants.
6. Anyone who refuses to comply with these protocols will not be allowed on campus, asked to leave, and no fees will be refunded.
